"The mission of Davenport Autopark is to courteously and efficiently deliver innovative products and services of the highest quality to the general public, improving the lives of its customers, employees and community."

Davenport Autopark, originally Davenport Motor Company, was started in 1929 by the late David W. Davenport as a Pontiac-Oakland dealership in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Over the years Davenport's product lines evolved into Pontiac-Cadillac (1934), Pontiac-Cadillac-Honda (1974), Pontiac-Cadillac-Honda-Isuzu (1990), and finally to the current configuration of Honda and Pontiac-Buick-GMC (1999).

One thing that has distinguished Davenport from other dealerships over the years has been its dedication to customer service. A recent example of this philosophy in action is the introduction of Davenport's innovative new "Dealership for Life" program, providing customers with lifetime warranties, lifetime maintenance, loaner cars and more, for no additional charge, with the purchase of both new and pre-owned vehicles.

Currently housed in its fourth location, Davenport is positioned on a twelve acre tract just off Highway 64 By-Pass on the West side of Rocky Mount, and is now owned and operated by Mr. Davenport's son-in-law and grandson.
